In this gallery we show some of the classical minimal surfaces, implemented by using smooth parametrisations or discrete models. Minimal surfaces are surfaces which locally minimise surface area.  Classical minimal surfaces include the plane, the catenoid and helicoid, and from the golden age the Schwarz family, the Riemann minimal surface, Scherk's surfaces, the Enneper surface, the Richmond surfaces, the Catalan surface and the Henneberg surface.
